Danielle Duffy isÌýstudying for aÌýMaster of Arts in history with a public history concentrationÌýat Western Carolina University.ÌýHer educational focus is on public policy and the intersection of environmental andÌýlabor history in rural America. She is currently working on a project comparing rural areas in Washington State, Western North Carolina, and Upper Michigan to explore the economic transitions from extractiveÌýto tourism industry and how these communities have sustained and reacted.
