University of Colorado Law School Professor Andrew A. Schwartz has been elected to the American Law Institute (ALI). Schwartz, the Laurence W. DeMuth Chair of Business Law, is one of 45 legal scholars and practitioners who were chosen to join ALI in December of 2025.
The University of Colorado Law School is proud to announce that the Colorado Law Review (CLR) and Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) have been selected to host the 2026 National NALSA Writing Competition. Held annually, this competition aims to increase awareness and involvement in National NALSA (NNALSA) and related legal interests that impact Native and Indigenous communities worldwide.

The American Indian Law Program (AILP) at the University of Colorado Law School welcomes Heidi Todacheene as Visiting Practitioner in Residence. Todacheene (Navajo) recently concluded her Presidential appointment as Senior Advisor on Indigenous and international issues to Deb Haaland, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior and first Native American to serve as a U.S. cabinet secretary.
