Welcome to the Diverse Musicians’ Alliance (DiMA) at the University of Colorado Boulder College of Music!Ìý
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä DiMA
Established in 2004, DiMA—a program of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Leadership, Excellence, Achievement, Diversity (LEAD) Alliance—supports, empowers and builds community among all College of Music students through academic mentorship, scholarships, leadership and community service opportunities, and more.
Additionally, in collaboration with ourÌýAmerican Music Research Center (AMRC), DiMA participants present an annual event—Persevering Legacy—that celebrates women composers; undergraduate and graduate music majors present solo and ensemble performances including works from the .
DiMA participation requires students to maintain a grade point average of 2.75 or higher; students holding the minimum GPA are expected to improve it each semester.ÌýAs members of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä LEAD Alliance, DiMA participants may leverage free tutoring to strengthen their studies and boost their GPAs. DiMA participants may also apply for grants through the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä LEAD program based on financial need, academic meritÌýand group participation.

DiMA is open to all students including undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.ÌýParticipants engage and connect throughout the academic year, produce an annual concert and support one another by attending other students’Ìýperformances.
Activities + events
DiMA hosts regular gatheringsÌýoffering opportunities for deep discussions on timely topics—often with guest speakers—and learning from one another; dates are announced in weekly newsletters.
