Global Issues Class Advisor

As Global Issues Class Advisor (CA), it is our job to support transformational leadership development by providing meaningful opportunities to the PLC community.

  • Create continuity of instruction and support by attending lecture twice a week (TTH).
  • Encourage accountability and academic excellence through attendance and classroom accountability.
  • Create curriculum for in-class debates; ensuring respectful, rigorous dialogue.
  • Facilitate debates and other classroom activities.
  • Create and evaluate "On the Spot" questions
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on presentations and papers to aid in learning and iteration.
  • Provide additional academic support during weekly office hours (2 hours/week) or by appointment.
  • Create and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel respected and supported
  • Attend weekly Student Staff meetings, attend Academic Team meetings, and meet weekly with Dr. Chris Coker to stay on track week-to-week.

The Global Issues Class Advisor (CA) must do their job because we need innovative and ethical leaders who are going to create meaningful change.

(Pay Rate = $2500/Semester)
