Jen Walentas Lewon, MS, MA, CCC-SLP (she/they) is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is a certified clinical speech-language pathologist with experience in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, private practice and home health settings. As a clinical educator at the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic, Jen provides assessment and intervention for adults with voice and neurogenic communication impairments and gender-affirming voice and communication training.

Jen teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Voice Disorders, Speech Disorders, Clinical Methods and Phonetics. Her clinical and research interests include voice and speech disorders, voice and gender, acoustic measures, LSVT, and clinical queries that advance evidence-based practice.

Jen enjoys academic technology and online teaching. She is interested in technology that improves teaching, enhances learning, and increases access. Jen coordinates the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Speech-Language Pathology Prerequisites (SLPP) distance learning program and supports the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification program.

Jen enjoys theater, music, vocal performance, movies, pop culture, puzzles, and games—no wonder she loves SLP!
