New faculty, staff signup for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Alerts to be tested March 22
Action required: All faculty and staff who want to receive emergency text message alerts, even those who have opted in previously, must log in to My¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäinfo to update their contact information. The spring test for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Alerts will be held at noon on March 22.
Grad student wins Bridge Builder of the Year award
Architectural engineering graduate student Jay Arehart has been awarded Bridge Builder of the Year by Bridges to Prosperity (B2P). Arehart, who was chosen from students across the nation, has led ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä's B2P chapter on three footbridge builds in Bolivia.
Professor preserves Cherokee traditions with help of NSF grant
Clint Carroll, assistant professor of ethnic studies and citizen of the Cherokee nation, will help preserve tribal tradition and knowledge through a five-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Indigenous entrepreneurship the topic of discussion March 7
Chief Wilton Littlechild will deliver a public lecture focusing on indigenous entrepreneurship and the importance of indigenous access to business and financial services in a global economy. He is an honorary chief of the Maskwacis Cree First Nation, a former Canadian senator and a decorated rights advocate who has has served the United Nations for decades.
TRANSforming Gender Conference starts March 10
On March 10 and 11, the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is hosting the 11th annual TRANSforming Gender Conference in an effort to educate the community on issues facing gender-diverse people and encourage advocacy and support.
