The University of Colorado Boulder has been selected to lead a $15.3 million effort to better understand how to improve the sustainability of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions in the developing world.
Engineering students plan large regional conference
Two engineering students, Yohannese Gebremedhin and Arthur Antoine, organized the 2016 National Society of Black Engineers’ (NSBE) Fall Region 6 Conference, to be held Nov. 4–6 in Denver. The event has attracted hundreds of people from the region, and registration is still open.

Veterans Day: Annual ceremony, memorial lounge grand opening
In honor of the nation's veterans, including ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder faculty, staff and student veterans, the university will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom at the University Memorial Center (UMC), followed by the grand opening of the newly-renovated Veterans Memorial Lounge.
Veteran appreciation and ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä services
In honor of Veterans Day, ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä would like to show appreciation for our veteran students and veteran dependents with Veteran Appreciation Week at The Rec, as well as remind the community of the veteran services currently offered at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä.
Students take the helm at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s fall dance showcase
Expect the unexpected at this fall’s Open Space, a dance production featuring brand-new works created, choreographed and performed by ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students. A tantalizing mix of pieces will be on display forÌýthree different showings from Nov. 11 to 13 in ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä’s Charlotte York Irey Theatre.
Book discussion and signing with author Ronald J. Stewart
Author Ronald J. StewartÌýwill speak about his book "Then Comes a Wind,"Ìýa story about a family's struggle to homestead in 1900s Nebraska, on Nov. 10. StewartÌýwill sign copies of his book (which will be for sale at the event) immediately following the presentation.
