¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä South future topic of city-hosted open house next week
The city of Boulder and the county are working on an update of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan, which guides development in the valley. Part of that may include a proposal to annex a 308-acre parcel of land south of the city that could support the university’s long-term growth needs. On Monday, city and county officials will host an open house to give the community a chance to learn more about the plan update and to provide input.
Two ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder professors tapped for 2016-17 Fulbright Scholar grants
The past secret societies of Chinese immigrants around the globe, and an emerging leader in crowdfunding securities -- New Zealand -- are the basis of research and teaching that two ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder faculty members are undertaking overseas this academic year as recipients of Fulbright Scholar awards.
Professor receives grant to showcase physics education research in Brazil
Noah Finkelstein, who co-directs the Center for STEM Learning at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder and is a principal investigator for the Physics Education Research group, plans to showcase ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder research at Brazilian universities in NovemberÌýafter being awarded a grant from a prestigious lectureship program for physicists.
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder, JILA and NIST remember Deborah Jin
Students, faculty and staff at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder, JILA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) shared remembrances this week of Deborah Jin, who passed away on Sept. 15, 2016 at the age of 47 after battling cancer.

Screening: 'Before the Flood'
The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Environmental Center's Energy Outreach Team is excited to announce that we are one of only three locations nationwide to be premiering 'Before the Flood,' an inspiring new climate documentary by Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Fisher Stevens and National Geographic. The screening will be heldÌýin Humanities 150 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
R&B artist Gallant to help kick off Homecoming week with Oct. 12 concert
R&B artistÌýGallant willÌýheadlineÌýthis year'sÌýHomecoming concertÌýon Wednesday, Oct.Ìý12, at 8 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. The concert is just one of many events and activities happening during Homecoming week.ÌýTickets will be $5 for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä students and $10 for the public.
