Board of Regents hears preliminary enrollment numbers, discusses the cost and value of research
The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Board of Regents Thursday received an update on projected enrollment growth on all four campuses from Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Todd Saliman. Among other items, the board also approved a name change for the BA degree in the Department of Women and Gender Studies and the splitting of the MS in Applied Mathematics into a professional and traditional degree.
Brief early morning wi-fi outages
Wireless networks across campus will experience a 15-20 minute outage in the early morning hours (before 7 a.m.) during one of three scheduled windows in the coming weeks.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Hazel Barnes Award
The Hazel Barnes Prize is one of the most prestigious awards at the University of Colorado Boulder and focuses on the enriching relationship that occurs between teaching and research. Nominees should be regionally and nationally recognized, tenured faculty members who are not only outstanding teachers but also have distinguished records in research and scholarship over a substantial period of time.
Help celebrate Korte's 23 years of service
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäPD Dispatch ManagerÌýBecky KorteÌýis retiring after 23 years of service. Becky started with the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Police as a dispatcher and has served as the center’s supervisor for over nine years. We will be hosting an open house retirement celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the South Terrace Tent at the University Memorial Center.Ìý

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäPD is looking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest in this past weekend’s unlawful sexual contact incident.ÌýThe person of interest in this case is also suspected to be the person who was involved in a similar crime on campus on Jan. 14, 2016.Ìý
Construction on campus: Stay safe
The changing academic, research and student life needs of the university necessitate ongoing construction and maintenance projects to upgrade existing structures and create new ones. It is very important that as you move through campus, you respect work zones and follow detours that are posted for you.
Bear safety tips: Mind your trash, more
Black bears are common in Colorado, including in the Boulder foothills and, on rare occasions, campus. It’s important that students, faculty, staff and the larger Boulder community become familiar with bear safety tips.
