Academic Futures is leading campus transformation
As the semester winds down, Academic Futures has completed another year of rich conversations that are now yielding considerable progress.
IDEA Plan draft posted as chancellor and cabinet prepare for next steps
The revised draft of the IDEA Plan—the campus’s working blueprint for achieving diversity, equity and inclusive excellence—has been delivered to the chancellor, provost and senior vice chancellor for review.
First Financial Futures projects identify $30M in potential impact
Launching last year, Financial Futures delved into four areas of focus: procurement, use of gift funds, new revenue generation and portfolio evaluation, resulting in the identification of 14 opportunities or workstreams.
Foundations of Excellence: Improving the first-year experience
The campuswide effort to evaluate the first-year undergraduate experience has recently made progress on efforts to re-envision the first-year student residential experience as well as to provide a more cohesive, consistent advising experience for all of our first-year students.
Strategic Facilities Visioning: Teams developing, testing future infrastructure options
The project team is getting set to compile and analyze insights from scenario planning teams as the initiative moves closer to development of a digital planning tool for facilities and infrastructure.
Complementary Initiatives & Projects
Accreditation: Campus review period approaching
In late May or early June, a draft report will be made available to the campus community for feedback and suggestions leading up to ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s next national accreditation, which is scheduled for 2020.
Arts and Sciences reorganization working groups announced
Provost Moore has announced the composition of three working groups of campus subject matter experts to implement the major recommendations of a report by the Provost Committee on Academic Reorganization.
Transportation, housing master plans deep into outreach phases
The Housing Master Plan and Transportation Master Plan initiatives are deep into outreach and data-gathering phases, with surveys having recently been sent to campus community members. An Energy Master Plan initiative is slated to launch this summer.
