- LASP Director Daniel Baker has received a joint award for scientists who’ve made distinguished pioneering contributions to promoting space research, establishing new space science research branches and founding new exploration programs.
- Distinguished Professor Dan Scheeres has been named a NASA participating scientist on the European Space Agency’s Hera mission. He is one of 12 individuals announced for the space probe mission, which is scheduled to launch in October 2024.
- Dave Newport of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Environmental Center was awarded the 2024 Environmental Legacy Award by the Green Sports Alliance for his work with ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Athletics on the department’s sustainability initiatives.
- Two ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder scholars have been named 2024 Guggenheim Fellows, recognizing not only their prior career achievements but also their exceptional promise.
- ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Professor and Institute of Behavioral Science Faculty Research Fellow Karl Hill received the International Collaborative Prevention Research Award at the 2024 Society for Prevention Research Annual Meeting.
- Chemistry Professor Gordana Dukovic has been named a 2024 Brown Investigator Award winner, a recognition that will support her research to develop new insights into solar chemistry.
- ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s Concrete Canoe team excelled at the American Society of Civil Engineer’s Rocky Mountain Symposium, securing first place in sustainable solutions, as well as second and third place in other competitions. For the first time ever, the team has been invited to ASCE nationals.
- The assistant vice chancellor of campus information technology finance, planning and IT asset management is one of 15 people selected for the 2024–25 National Association of College and University Business Officers Fellows Program.
