    Expect the unexpected at this fall’s Open Space, a dance production featuring brand-new works created, choreographed and performed by Boulder students. A tantalizing mix of pieces will be on display for three different showings from Nov. 11 to 13 in ’s Charlotte York Irey Theatre.
  • Twelfth Night, directed by visiting director Lisa Wolpe
    Boulder’s 2016-17 theatre season continues with a highly anticipated all-female production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” Directed by renowned Los Angeles actor, director, teacher and producer Lisa Wolpe, the production runs Nov. 4 through Nov. 13 in the University Theatre.
  • The Manhattan Transfer and Take 6 singing groups join forces for performance at Macky Auditorium
    One group single-handedly brought vocal jazz to the masses. The other’s smooth R&B hits inspired a new generation of a cappella mania, from 'The Sing Off' to 'Glee' and 'Smash.'
  • 2016 Distinguished Research Lecturership
    David Korevaar, College of Music, and Thomas T. Veblen, Geography Department, have been selected as recipients of the 2016 Distinguished Research Lectureship, which is among the highest honors bestowed by the faculty upon a faculty member at Boulder.
  • Pianist Richard Goode
    Presents' 80th-anniversary Artist Series continues with an intimate recital by acclaimed American pianist Richard Goode. Hailed by The Washington Post as “one of the finest pianists in the world,” Goode will play a program of Beethoven, Debussy and more at Macky Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

    This fall, just in time for Halloween, Boulder’s Eklund Opera Program is set to bring Johann Strauss, Jr.’s glittering masked ball operetta to Macky Auditorium, opening Oct. 21.
  • Classic Italian masks
    Boulder’s 2016-17 theatre season continues with a heartwarming, hilarious production of “The Servant of Two Masters,” a classic Italian commedia dell’arte by 18th-century playwright Carlo Goldoni. Performances of the play, directed by Associate Professor Tamara Meneghini, take place Oct. 19-23 in ’s Loft Theatre.
  • Homecoming Concert
    R&B artist Gallant will headline this year's Homecoming concert on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. The concert is just one of many events and activities happening during Homecoming week. Tickets will be $5 for students and $10 for the public.

    Continuing the exciting 2016-17 dance season at Boulder is “Boneless,” a showcase of two works by MFA students intent on uncovering who we really are underneath our society’s thick layers of commercialism and social standards. These two works, incorporating contemporary dance, animal instinct and skateboarding, come to ’s Charlotte York Irey Theatre Oct. 21-23.
  • The dancers of MOMIX create a fantastical caterpillar through dance
    Presents’ 80th-anniversary Artist Series kicks off with a desert-inspired dance performance by MOMIX, a company famous for its astounding creativity and stunning visual tricks. The company, an Artist Series favorite, is back by popular demand with a Boulder premiere on Sunday, Oct. 2.
