Our Opportunities

We striveÌýto provide as many opportunities as possible for students to develop personally, creatively, academically and professionally.

Norlin Scholars can develop leadership and professional skills as UEP Office Assistants.ÌýOffice Assistants are student employees who perform tasks crucial to UEP’s functioning, including event planning, updating social media and communications, and more. They are hired, supervised and evaluated by the UEP Office Manager.ÌýTheyÌýgain office skills,Ìýlearn what it means to work in a higher education context, and workÌýin collaboration with the Office Manager and Director of UEP.

When available, the Norlin Scholars program can provide additional funding for specific educational experiences for which you do not have the funds. If funds are available, students will receive an email inviting proposals. You are encouraged to track your participation in the Norlin and UEP community so that you can make a case for funding.

What Norlin scholars say about our opportunities:

"As a Norlin Scholar, I have developed countless skills to navigate the complexities of my daily life and decisions. Nevertheless, one message sticks out in particular: think about your why. In only my short time as a scholar within this beautiful program, my sensory acceptance of my environment has become a critical evaluation. Now, when I make decisions, I consider a variety of perspectives I previously overlooked. Anyone willing to embrace this program's challenges can do the same."

"UEPÌýexcells in providing support and a space for people who are open and committed to learning about themselves holistically -- in areas not only limited to academic success, but personal belonging and value."
