Graduation: What You Need to Know
Planning to graduate from CMDI?
Students are eligible for graduation when they have completed all degree requirements.
Regardless of whether you plan to attend our reception, you must apply to graduate via the Buff Portal. Find more information now →
If you graduated this past December,Ìýyou are invited to come back to participateÌýin the spring 2026 events.
Spring ceremony information
December graduates are automatically included in college and university spring ceremony programsÌýfollowingÌýtheir graduation. If you graduated in December 2025, you will appear in the spring 2026 program.
CMDI will host a college-wide recognition ceremony for all graduates on Sunday, May 3, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Events Center. Doors open at 7 a.m. A reception at Engebretson Quad will immediately follow the ceremony.
The Department of Environmental Design will host a ceremony for its graduates on Sunday, May 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Upper Gymnasium of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Recreation Center. A reception in the same location will immediately follow the ceremony.

Information for graduate students
To be eligible to earn an advanced degree, students must fulfill appropriate requirements as established by their academic department and the Graduate School, and have an approved candidacy application.Ìý
