COSINC

Empowering Innovation, Research and Education Through Advanced Nanofabrication and Characterization

COSINC

Open-access research facility and training for academia, industry and government.

Colorado Shared Instrumentation in Nanofabrication and Characterization (COSINC) is a multidisciplinary core research facility and service center. We provide access to state-of-the-art equipment for micro and nano-fabrication, materials characterization and ISO 5 cleanroom facilities. We also offer advanced hands-on training to researchers.Ìý

As an open-access facility, COSINC serves the University of Colorado Boulder academic and research community, as well as industry and governmental researchers. COSINC currently serves more than 370 users and 200 PIs, enabling sponsored projects of over $150 million over three years.

COSINC Advantage

Experienced

COSINC has expert staff available to train and assist users in their projects, including nanofabrication process development. Our staff can also be involved as collaborators and/or co-PIs on research proposals, including the write-up of sections and leading proposals.Ìý

COSINC lab staff

Open access

Once a researcher is trained by our staff, they have 24/7 open access to our facilities and equipment. This approach encourages users from diverse academic disciplines. In fact, COSINC offers a common platform for the convergence of multiple scientific and engineering disciplines. It enables innovations in a wide range of areas, from electronics, photonics and quantum science to biomedical, pharmaceutical and nanomedicine.
