Rural and Small Town Staff and Faculty

Staff, faculty and even graduate students from across the university may claim a small town as home. To facilitate the sharing of stories, experiences, and perspectives amongst ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder rural and small town professionals, the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Rural Network oversees a Rural Staff/Faculty Affinity Group. This group serves to foster community among individuals with similar backgrounds as well as advocate for recognition of ‘rurality’ as a unique part of an individual’s identity.

Additional support for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder staff and faculty is provided by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), including individual counseling appointments.

Past or current ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä employees may qualify for – a program that rewards college graduates who work in the public sector. ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit qualifying employer.
The Community Perspectives Program engages a small cohort of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder faculty in a one-year professional development opportunity aimed at connecting their teaching, research, and creative work to outreach and engagement initiatives with rural Colorado communities.
