Course Description

Improve understanding, trust, connection and overall team dynamics with Crucial Teams, a course by our partners at Crucial Learning, built on the Strength Deployment Inventory® (SDI®).

Through instruction, reflection, videos, and team exercises, team members get to know each other’s motives and the strengths they prioritize at work. They gain insights into conflict triggers and learn how to better manage feelings of conflict. This team experience helps members develop greater appreciation for each other’s working styles and strengths, contributing to healthier relationships and more productive interactions.

High performing teams are made up of skilled and talented people who also understand and appreciate the different personalities, working styles, motives, and strengths each member brings to the team.

Powered by Insights from the (SDI®): At the core of Crucial Teams is the Strength Deployment Inventory, a scientifically validated assessment that provides insights into a person’s motives and strengths, as well as how they experience conflict. Team members draw on the insights provided in their SDI personalized report and the SDI Platform to gain greater understanding of themselves and each other.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this training, you will be able to...

What to Expect

Each team member will take the (SDI®) and receive insights on how it relates to your team and your work. Your facilitator will guide you and your team on how to leverage strengths and how to work with others. The (SDI®) determines whether you are motivated by people, performance, or process.

Who Should Attend

Crucial Teams is a course that’s designed to be experienced as a team, whether that’s an intact team, a cross-functional team, a leadership team, you name it.

Additional Context

This is not the CliftonStrengths assessment. Many of you on our campus are familiar with the CliftonStrengths assessment, so we want to clarify that this Strength Deployment Inventory® (SDI®) is a different assessment, distributed by Crucial Learning.
